"Split Enz was like a force of nature difficult to contain; No video, no CD, no book can quite capture the essence that was always manifest in live performance. However, this DVD comes close to revealing us in all our shape shifting nerve-twitching guises. I love the earliest videos - Lovey Dovey, Sweet Dreams - so low-tech made for nothing. Crombie, Gillies, Judd working with a medium still in its infancy. Necessity the mother of all invention. I remember turning up to film Late Last Night and there wasn't much there. No set to speak of. And a few hours later, we had the atmosphere for a late night bar room brouhaha. No problem performing. Always for a crowd. A camera always on, always striving to walk the fine line between all that is serious and all that is funny and entire unto ourselves. I'm glad this DVD exists, and thanks to Peter Green and Mushroom for pulling it all together. It was a joyful journey. Enjoy." - Tim Finn
